ClinicalEvidence

AI clinical decision support built on cited evidence, not on guesses

ClinicalEvidence supports professional decisions with evidence. It answers clinical questions only from registered trials and published studies, cites every sentence to an NCT number or PMID and leaves the decision with you.

Evidence support for professionals, not a diagnostic device

We want to be precise about what this is. ClinicalEvidence is an evidence based medicine AI tool for healthcare and life science professionals. It is not a diagnostic device, it is not a regulated clinical decision support system, and it does not process patient data.

It does not take a patient record, suggest a diagnosis, calculate a dose or recommend a treatment for an individual. It answers questions about what the evidence shows for a population, an intervention and an outcome, the way a study would define them, and it shows you the studies behind every statement. Read our medical disclaimer for the full scope.

  • No patient data needed or processed
  • No diagnosis and no individual treatment recommendation
  • Not a substitute for clinical judgment, guidelines or local protocols
  • Professional use only, not for patients

Why evidence is the hard part of clinical decisions

Good decisions start from good evidence, and good evidence is scattered. Pivotal trials sit in registries, results appear in journals months or years later, some trials never publish at all, and new studies keep arriving. A clinician, a pharmacist reviewing a formulary or a medical affairs team answering a question cannot read everything, so they rely on summaries.

AI promises faster summaries, but a summary is only as good as its sources. Language models used without retrieval and verification can describe trials that do not exist, attribute findings to the wrong study or answer confidently when no evidence exists. In a clinical setting, an unsupported claim is a risk, not a shortcut.

  • Evidence spread across registries and journals
  • Unpublished and ongoing trials easy to miss
  • AI summaries that cannot be traced to a source

Evidence based medicine AI with verified citations

ClinicalEvidence searches its own index of ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, PubMed Central open access articles, the EU Clinical Trials Register and WHO ICTRP where licences allow, refreshed every day. The language model writes only from the passages retrieved for your question, never from memory.

Every sentence carries the NCT numbers or PMIDs it relies on. Automatic citation verification checks that each ID exists in the index and that the cited passage supports the sentence. Sentences that fail are removed, an answer without verified sources is not shown, and when there is no evidence the answer says so plainly. See how cited answers are built and checked.

  1. Answers built only from retrieved trial records and studies

  2. Verification of every citation before display

  3. A "Sources searched" panel listing the sources used

  4. Level of evidence for each cited source in evidence summaries

What the evidence view shows

Next to the answer you get a trial table with phase, population, interventions, primary and secondary endpoints, results posted, sponsor, status, enrolment, dates and locations, sortable and filterable by condition, intervention, phase, status, study type, date range, sponsor type, country and results available.

Evidence summaries label each source by level of evidence, from meta-analyses and randomized trials to cohort studies and case series, explained in our guide to levels of evidence. Intervention comparisons place two to four interventions side by side with their trials and outcomes. Saved questions send email alerts when new trials or publications match.

  • Open any registry record or abstract in one click
  • Compare interventions across trials in one table
  • Export to CSV, RIS and BibTeX, plus XLSX and DOCX from Research Team

Who uses ClinicalEvidence for evidence support

Physicians and clinical pharmacists preparing case discussions and formulary reviews, drug information services, medical affairs teams answering medical information requests, guideline and pathway teams scoping questions, and consultants who need cited comparisons of interventions. Organization and Enterprise plans add an audit log, so teams can show which sources stood behind an answer. Security details are on the security page.

Questions about AI clinical decision support

Is ClinicalEvidence a clinical decision support system?

It is an evidence support tool for professionals. It is not a diagnostic device and not a regulated clinical decision support system. It reports what trials and studies show, with sources, and does not make decisions about individual patients.

Does ClinicalEvidence process patient data?

No. It needs no patient data and you should not enter any. Questions are framed at the level of a population, an intervention and an outcome.

How do I know an answer is supported by evidence?

Every sentence carries an NCT number or PMID that links to the source record, and each citation is verified against the index before the answer appears. If nothing can be verified, no answer is shown.

Does it replace guidelines or clinical judgment?

No. It helps you find and read the primary evidence faster. Guidelines, local protocols and your clinical judgment remain the basis of patient care.

Can our team keep a record of the sources behind an answer?

Yes. Saved threads keep the answer and its citations, and Organization and Enterprise plans include an audit log.
